TOPIC I : CAUSE AND EFFECT RELATIONSHIP

CAUSE – is what makes things happen.
EFFECT – is what happens as an outcome or result.

NOTE : A reader should remember to use signal words, story clues and own experiences to determine cause and effect.

Examples

1. ( Effect ) People in Zamboanga City continue to live in   fear

2.  ( Cause ) Commercial Airlines had halted flights into the city,
     (Effect )    therefore, many travelers were stranded.

3. (Effect) Classes were suspended
    (Cause) due to the crisis.
