Who doesn't know Imelda Marcos? Her lavish lifestyle when
she was the wife of the Philippines president Ferdinand 
Marcos made her famous. Their government were said to be 
the MOST CORRUPT until the people power bring them down 
and their family fled the country. When she left the country 
it was said that she left around 800 expensive dresses, some
 mink coats and 3000 pairs of shoes in her palace!

I googled her and found out that she actually a very pretty lady 
especially in her youth. She is sophisticated and ladylike, pretty 
and well-poised, such a perfect first lady if not for her bad 
reputation as a BIG SPENDER. She also was very fashionable, 
probably the most stylish among the few of well-dressed first lady.

REGION II- CAGAYAN VALLEY

"Tabacco Land of the Philippines"

Provinces:         Region II is surrounded by 3 mountain ranges:

REGION III-CENTRAL LUZON

"RICE GRANARY OF THE PHILIPPINES"

Provinces :      -Central Plain of Luzon is the biggest plain in the country.

The eruption of  Mt. Pinatubo in 1991 in Zambales changed the topography
 of this province and its nearby provinces.


REGION IV-A  CALABARZON

REGION V- BICOL PENINSULA

Provinces:                     ABACA-world's strongest fiber.
1. Albay                          Most Bicolanos love eating spicy foods.
2. Cmarines Norte      GOLD MINES are found in MASBATE
3. Camarines Sur       Beautiful Spots: Mayon Volcano in Albay,
4. Catanduanes          Tiwi Hot Spring and Lake Buhi
5. Masbate                    Lake Buhi- home of the smallest fish in the Phils.

NCR- NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION

"Center of Population, Education, Government and Economic Activities"

*It includes 13 cities and 4 municipalities. NCR has a shape like a cone
and it is the smallest compared to other regions. However considered 
and serves as the regional center. Livelihood of the people living in NCR 
is by  COMMERCE and TRADING.

*As an Educational center, the region has most of the well-known universities
and colleges.Most notable are the: UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, 
LA SALLE, ATENEO and UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS.

Note: UNIVERSITY of SANTO TOMAS is the oldest university built by the 
Spaniards and  established year 1611.

CAR- CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

Provinces:             Mt. Province- is known as the Center of Igorots' culture
